Want to be rich?

“Money is not everything, it is the only thing,” is part of the advice we often get when making career decisions. Or

Money is not everything, but it ranks right up there with oxygen.

Well part of it is true because without money, life can be pretty uncomfortable.

The future of your job?

Few people have ever stood on top of Mt Everest. To be the first, took extra special courage. Imagine you were Edmund Hillary, the first man to summit Mt Everest. You needed to plan for something for which no guidelines or instructions existed. You plan as best you can for something that can only be described as uncertain.

This is the same kind of situation we currently experience when we plan for the future.

Stuck in a rut?

Last week it was interesting to learn that there are vast numbers of people who consider their jobs to be “Bulshit Jobs”. You missed it? Click here to read.

But sometimes you do something that may serve others well. At a meeting the past weekend a man I’ve never met before, approached me and told about the life changing influence a magazine article I wrote, had on his life. Apparently he worked in a particular job in which he was not really happy.
